#BetweenTheSheets: Nordic Curling Tour Returns

The Oslo Cup kicks off Year 2 of the NCT

World Curling Tour action has hit the ice around the world for a few weeks now. The new season is well upon us.

But this weekend we also welcome the return of the Nordic Curling Tour.

What is the Nordic Curling Tour you ask?

Don't you worry rock heads. #TwineTime has the answer.

#BetweenTheSheets: Power Rankings - Week 6

The mountain gets slippery after a full weekend of curling action

The first real busy week of the new curling season is now behind us. And there were some strong results over the weekend.

In total, 4 men's and 4 women's champions were crowned from tour events taking place in Canada, Scotland and Japan.

Some of the results were expected, with #Fav teams emerging victorious.

Others were perhaps a bit more surprising.

From experienced teams collecting wins to new look teams showing they are anything but "new", we could be in for a very fun and exciting season.

Yes, it is still August.

And yes, curling is ready to get into the full swing of things.

Last week offered an appetizer to the curling tour lovers.

This week we get more of a full meal deal with 4 men's events and 4 women's events on the table.

#BetweenTheSheets: Season Debut Power Rankings

Welcome to the first mountain reveal of the new season

The curling season is officially underway.

And not just because we saw opening tour action last weekend in Switzerland and Scotland.

But because we have the season debut of the Power Rankings!!

Yes, you can cheer and be excited for this. You know you have been waiting for it...

And yes, technically we enter Week 5 of the season.

The question is, did the results from the Baden Masters and Euro Super Series shake up the mountain in the opening week?

S2324 W4 - Welcome Back

#BetweenTheSheets: The Return of Tour Life

The season kicks off in Scotland and Switzerland

This is the time of year where teachers are preparing to welcome students back to the classroom.

Students are dreading the end of their summer vacation but perhaps excited to see friends and show off some new threads.

And parents are leaping for joy to finally get the kids out of the home and back to a routine.

Why should curling be any different?

Athletes are dusting off the brooms but also maybe showing off some new threads.

Tour event organizers are preparing to welcome a bunch of rowdy, excited curlers into their clubs to compete once again.

And fans are getting excited to cheer on their favourite teams to championship glory.

Welcome Back!

#BetweenTheSheets: Women's Season Preview

Hot Topics, #TeamUpset, #PowerRankings and Predictions

Hope you all enjoyed the past 3 months of a curling break.

We cannot even call it an off-season really anymore.

The season ended in May in Regina at the Champions Cup.

The season is, technically, already under way as tour events have already been played in Japan while Korea, New Zealand and Australia have already contested their national championships.

I guess the blog is already behind in previewing the upcoming season, no?

This curling break has been about as long as it takes for me to make 300+ jello shooters for an annual family camping trip in July.

Let's get the preview posts starting with the women's season preview.
